Mr. Spanel brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, healthcare management and software development to his clients at Newpoint Healthcare Advisors.
He came to his consulting role after serving as CIO of Centene Corp., a Medicaid health plan and multi-specialty company that he helped grow from $36 million in revenue to $1.5 billion in revenue over the course of nine years. Brian grew the claims, membership and reporting systems and infrastructure, and all support services, to accommodate membership growth from 65,000 to 900,000. He also introduced and was responsible for all changes in the company’s information infrastructure and ensured production systems were fully capable of supporting organic and acquisitive growth.
Accustomed to dealing with complex business decisions, solutions and implementations from a budgetary, resource and timeline perspective, Brian is known for meeting and exceeding business and personal goals with a proven track record of success.
